A Visit From Uncle Chad (2.11.12)

My brother decided to make a last minute trip to MN...and the kids had a blast. Even though the trip was short notice and short lived...it was great seeing him and the twins (Brandon and Emily - 5, almost 6)

Our First Swim Lessons (1.21.2012)

The girls started their first activity this weekend...swim lessons. They were so excited!!! They did wonderful. Such great listeners and followers. Hopefully they will learn a few keys moves for the lake this summer!

A Lesson From Kendall (1.17.2012)

I pulled into the garage with the girls and proceeded to take them out of their car seats. Kendall was sitting next to the wall where we keep our tools and our conversation went as follows:

Kendall: "Are those Daddy's tools?"

Mommy: "Yup, but Daddy doesn't know how to use them."

Kendall: "Well...you bang, bang with the hammer and with this (she pointed to the screw driver), you twist and twist. That's all."

Mommy: "Wow...maybe you should show Daddy how to use them then"

Kendall: "Yeah, I can do that."

It was so funny and so on the mark with Chad! She is only 4 and already knows how Chad is with tools...or maybe I should say "not" with tools.

Passing Time (12.26.2011)

Some people read books, others read the paper...Kendall plays her LeapPad...

Our First Movie (12.25.2011)

Our first movie "Alvin and the Chipmunks, chipwrecked."

Christmas Day 2011

Merry Christmas to all! We hope you and your families had a wonderful holiday season.

We had a great Christmas. This year the girls truly got in the spirit of the holidays. From watching the Elf each day to counting down the days when Santa would show. The night before a cookie was set out for him. The girls woke the next day to crumbs and a note that said their toys were down stairs. After waiting for what seemed a life time for Mommy and Daddy to get out of bed...they ran down stairs to see a tent (or as Kendall says he made it here last night) and a pile of toys.

The day was spent at home playing with new toys and making memories of these precious years.

Christmas with Grandma Shelley (12.24.2011)

Christmas Eve was spent with Grandma Shelley, where the girls received a bundle of Barbie things. Thanks Grandma for a GREAT Christmas Eve!!!

Later that night we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Buca's with Grandma Shelley and Grandma Karen. YUM!!!

Where is Jingles??? (12.21.2011)

Kendall and Sydney have not been very good girls this week. They have been talking back, not going to bed then extremely crabby at daycare all week. So this morning when they woke they did not see Jingles (Elf on the Shelf) any where. Chad informed them that maybe he was so sad that both Kendall and Sydney have not been very good and decided to not come back.

When we got home later that day, a letter was in the mail to Kendall and Sydney...

Dobbelaere Christmas (12.18.2011)

Thanks everyone for a fabulous day! From a visit from Santa to the dice game.
Lots of laughs and lots of smiles.
Merry Christmas!!!
