Today was another big step for our girls as they move on with the next phase of their lives. I remember the day we brought them home from the hospital, the joy that I had to be able to FINALLY bring them home. Today I share that same joy as I see them become independent and their own person.
We decided to separate the girls for the first time in their lives, by placing them in different classrooms. Kendall with Mrs. Reed and Sydney with Mrs. Christensen. Even though the girls have spent the last 5 years, 9 months with each other 24/7, I had no doubt they would be just fine. And at the end of the day...they did just fine.
As they took those steps down the long hallway to their lockers...I realized that this is the first in many, many more steps that will only make them more independent each day. It reminded me to cherish these memories and these times...yes they do go fast!
Way to go Kendall and Sydney...we are so proud of you!!!
