Maybe...
Last week at daycare, Kendall had gone up to Erin (daycare provider) and said poopy. At first Erin thought, what about the puppy? Then Kendall said, no poopy. And sure enough she had filled her drawers.
After this event Kendall continue to tell us when she had gone poopy and did multiple times to my dad this past weekend as well. I keep hearing that we if she knows, then we should introduce the potty chair. She may not become “potty trained” yet, but to get her interested. So I guess I better go out and purchase ourselves a lovely potty chair.
Oh how wonderful that would be…no more diapers. However, I’m thinking Sydney may do it in her own long time. She is definitely the child that is laid back and would most likely think “why should I learn to do that when someone else will take care of it for me.” She gets that personality from her daddy!
Trip to Cheesehead Country...Wisconsin
We loaded up the car, the girls and headed to Wisconsin this past weekend. Chad and I had been invited to a wedding in Milwaukee. Along the way we made a pit stop at my dad’s for a short visit and left the girls behind for the day/night.
Before heading to WI, I made sure we had all the necessary supplies…which I will say I did pretty well in NOT packing too much! I made sure the DVD player was ready to go, there were plenty of toys and snacks available. The drive takes about 5 hours…so I wanted to be prepared. Our goal, to get there without having to stop…maybe for gas but that is all. Did we reach our goal, YES!!!
I am such a proud Mommy to say the girls did amazing in the car. We picked them from daycare on Friday right at nap time. They both slept the first hour, then we played with toys, read books and about an hour away from our destination, I did end up putting in a DVD. We stopped once to fill up on gas, but left the girls in the car and kept on going. We knew if we took them out, they would fight us on going back in the car. They traveled so well…and did just as well on the way home!
Saturday morning Chad and I got up, dressed for the wedding and took off early. The girls spent that whole day with Grandpa and Grandma…and it sounds like they all had a great time. After taking an early nap, they headed to a park and spent all afternoon there. Later that same day there was a trip to Dairy Queen…the girls love ice cream! They had so much fun with Grandpa (papa as the girls say) and Grandma (said different each time.)

18 Month Pictures
I had the girl's 18 month pictures taken on 7.11.09. The morning started off okay, then quickly turned for the worse. Kendall and Sydney did great in the first few shots of them together in their dresses. Then it was time for Kendall to go solo...this is where it turned. She was having none of it. The only way we could get any pictures of her was if I held her...which we got one. Sydney did great. She was just lovin it and when we put her in her swimsuit, she continue to do great...such a ham.

Kendall Takes A Fall
It happened to Sydney and now it happened to Kendall. Today at daycare Kendall was climbing the steps of the play-set so she could go down the slide...while doing so, she slipped and fell head over heals. Weird thing is, she got banged up in the same spot as Sydney. It must be a twin thing.
I felt horrible for our daycare provider. She was so upset by this. But like I told her, it can happen anytime, anywhere and with anyone. I'm sure this will not be her last fall.
Sydney's mark has disappeared and so will Kendall's mark...
