Kindergarten Open House (8.28.2013)

The girls experienced their first open house this week.  With supplies in hand, we entered the school where they will spend the next 6 years of their life.  We first went to Sydney's classroom where she met her teacher, found her seat and put all her supplies away.  Then it was on to Kendall's room to do the same.

Their teachers are nice and seem eager to begin the year.  After seeing their rooms, we went on a walk around the school and located the bathroom (very important), the library, gym and lunchroom.

The trip ended with a visit to Kid Zone, where they will go each morning before school, a few days after school and when there is no school.

They seem excited and ready for this next adventure.  However that being said...I think Mom is even more excited!!!!

Two Teeth Out...Many to GO!!!! (8.2013)

Kendall lost her first tooth on Tuesday August 5th.  I was woken at 3am by Kendall saying to me "Mommy, my tooth fell out.  I thought it would be square, but it's oval."  Me, barely awake took the tooth and said, "That's awesome, we'll deal with it tomorrow...go to bed."

The second tooth was lost this past weekend on the 17th.  Kendall was running up to a friend when she stopped and saw her tooth in her hand.

The Toothfairy has visited us twice now.  She is very appreciated for the beautiful teeth as she uses them to build her house and things within her home.  The first was used as part of her front door.  The second was used for a chair!

OH...and all of a sudden Sydney's teeth are hurting her.  However, none are even close to being loose.  How funny...one must do as the other does!

Family Vacation at the Lake (8.2013)

Great times, weather and memories were had at the lake this past week.
The sun was shining, the smiles were large and plenty of water was had.

And some funny times to be had as well.  A nice thought to go for an evening cruise, ended up being a night under the bridge as we wait for the down pour to end!  We laughed all through it and found ourselves enjoying the time together even that much more!!!

Cheerleaders In The Making (8.5.2013)

The girls participated in a cheerleading class this summer.  They learned a few jumps, cheers and a dance.  They ended the season with a recital and awards were given out.
