Worst Winter in Years!!!! (2.23.2014)

This winter goes down in the record books as the worst so far in our lives!!!!  January started with extremely cold days, hitting lows well below zero and with the windshield, -50 to -60.  With this cold came 5 cancelled school days in January.  The month rolled on and into February we went, along with this came more cold and this time snow as well.  February 20-21st, we experienced a state side blizzard.  Once again school was closed...that makes 6 days in 2 months that school was closed to due Mother Nature.  Of these 6, 3 will be made up.  This storm by far was the worst of the season.  First it rained, then the temps dropped, then it froze over, then the snow hit...8-12 inches.  The roads were barely drivable, some were closed and the state transportation was asking people to stay off the roads. 

We still have the month of March to go, which can be the snowiest.  Last year our last snow dropped from the sky in early May.  Hoping Mother Nature will come to terms with all of this nonsense and give up warmth and sun early this year!
