The girls seem to grow each day. When I say grow, I don’t mean in height but in what they know. Each day I see them try new things or hear new words from them. It’s amazing to see their little minds hard at work. And when they are trying something new, it is so hard to just sit there and not help. But when they figure it out, it’s the best feeling as a parent.
Just last week Kendall showed us how she can jump. Well she doesn’t really get any air, but in her eyes she is jumping. She will lay a book on the ground, stand on it as though she is high in the air, then you say…ready, set, go…and she takes this large step, while making her head bob up and down and makes a little grunt. Kendall is also saying many words and will repeat you quite often.
Sydney on the other hand is more of a follower of Kendall right now. She will see Kendall jump and then you’ll see Sydney give it a try. Sydney is also our little risk taker. You would think that after falling down the steps at the camper, she’d learn to be a bit more careful. YEAH RIGHT. Just the other day we caught her standing on the top step of a kid’s slide (you know the plastic orange and blue slide that every kid has), not hanging on. She gets this big old grin on her face as to say…what’da gonna do? And her two favorite words at the moment…no and mine.

Both girls love to dance and they have some pretty good moves! I was out one evening and got home after the girls went down. I asked Chad if the girls went down okay…well I guess he turned on the music and had them dancing so much that they just crashed. We also have them doing Ring Around the Rosies. They just giggle as they wait to fall down. Then it’s back up again for another round…Mommy and Daddy have a harder time getting back up of course.
We are having so much fun with the girls right now. My favorite time of day is after dinner, when all 4 of us get on the floor and play. It may be dancing to music, jumping off books, reading books, wrestling (you should see the girls wrestle) or cuddling.
We were outside all day...and as you can tell from these pics the girls look like they have played hard!!!
